It’s that time of year again! Summer reading at Kent Memorial Library! We have a great selection of programs for adults and kids, not to mention a fabulous array of raffle prizes for Suffield residents.
Special thanks to the Friends of Kent Memorial Library for making it all possible. Thank you also to the Suffield Village Market and the Hartford Yard Goats for their contributions.
Adult Summer Reading

How It Works
- Register. The program runs from Monday, June 19 through Thursday, August 3. If you live in Suffield, you can register for the summer reading program at the front desk.
- Read. Read anything and everything. Books. Magazines. Audiobooks. Each week that you read, you are eligible to receive a raffle ticket for a chance to win one of the great raffle baskets! We will draw the winners of the adult prizes on Thursday, August 3 at our Summer Reading Adult Wrap-Up Party.
- Have some fun! Register for any or all of our summer programs. Check out our adults’ summer reading brochure for upcoming events and register to participate through our events calendar.
Children’s and YA Summer Reading

How It Works
No sign up. No need to track your reading. For every week that you read, visit the library to spin the wheel for a prize and fill out a free raffle ticket. One spin and one raffle ticket per week, per person.
We have raffle prizes for preschool, grades K-4, and grades 5-12. We will pull the winners at the end of the summer.
Read whatever you want! Books, magazines, newspapers, websites, graphic novels, poetry, comic strips, even a story you write. Picture books, chapter books. Listen to audiobook. Everything counts. Reading together counts too! Whether a parent reads to you, or you read to them. Read to a younger kid or even a pet! All reading counts!
