Week 1 (Feb.1-5): Anyone who checks out three or more books a day, this week, will be entered to win a $100.00 gift card to Trader Joe’s grocery store.

Week 2 (Feb 8-12): When you come to pick up your items, stop and share your favorite book of 2020 and you will be entered to win one of twenty $10 gift cards.(Dunkin Donuts or Starbucks)

Week 3 (Feb 15-19): Use our Concierge Service and you will be eligible to win a $100.00 gift card to Highland Park Market. To learn more about our Concierge service.

Wednesday, February 3rd @ 7pm – Mindful Meditation via zoom

Learn about the basics and simple techniques of meditation taught by fully ordained

Zen Buddhist monk Ven. Myohye Do’an.

This program of Mindfulness Meditation is designed to benefit beginners who wish to make Mindfulness Meditation part of their daily routine. Join us on Zoom as Ven. Myohye Do’an talks about the importance of meditation and teaches us simple meditation techniques.

Wednesday, February 10th @7pm – Guilt-free Chocolate

Join us on zoom to learn how to make healthy chocolate bark and chocolate ganache with Maria Bandriff. Ingredients will be provided. Ms. Brandriff completed the Certificate of Gastronomy program at the University of New Haven in 2003. In early 2004 she had the opportunity to travel to the city of Arles in France for an intensive 3 day apprenticeship with a noted Provencal chocolatier. Ms. Brandriff has also been the featured chef at the Chef’s Table series at Zinc Restaurant in New Haven.

Wednesday, February 17th @ 6:30 pm – Introduction to Ayurveda

Ayurveda, India’s ancient healing system, provides practices for care of the body through diet, daily rhythms, and seasonal regimens. Understand the basics of how Ayurveda views the body, the importance of time of year and time of day in maintaining balance, and how to apply a few diet and lifestyle techniques to support digestion and immunity during the winter season. Kate O’Donnell is the author of three Ayurvedic Cookbooks. She is a nationally certified Ayurvedic Practitioner and the founder of the Ayurvedic Living Institute Kate was authorized by her teacher Sharath Jois to teach the Primary and Intermediate series of Ashtanga yoga.

Join Suffield resident Tanya Chandra of Tathai Dance Group via zoom and have fun learning some new moves. No dance experience needed!
