MIGRATION THROUGH MAPS

The Story of Immigration as Told Through Maps with Dr. Francis Coan

Dr. Francis Coan, History Professor at Tunxis, will present the story of American immigration through maps. This is a very visual way to understand how the populations, cultures, and time periods have evolved throughout the geography of America, allowing an access point to discuss prejudice, legislation, and the current state of America.  The waves, time periods, and migration of each group resonates differently when told with visual aids. Sponsored by The Friends of the Kent memorial Library and held at the Suffield Senior Center.
