2016…2017 marks the 100th Anniversary of the United States' entry into World War One. In an effort to help preserve this significant part of our history, on Saturday,
November 18 from 11 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., the Kent Memorial Library in partnership with the Suffield Historical Society and the Connecticut State Library's Remembering World War One
project will hold a Digitization Day. Bring old photos, documents, mementos, letters, keepsakes and other objects related to the war at home and abroad to the Suffield Senior Center located at
145 Bridge Street. The items will be photographed and scanned by the staff of the Connecticut State Library. Digital images of these objects will be made available online and preserved in the
Connecticut Digital Archive. The only prerequisite for inclusion in this project is that Connecticut residents bring the items to be scanned and that items are related to World War One.
