Text Box: Haddam is the author of the Gregor Demarkian mystery series.   The Baltimore Sun says that Haddam's book Cheating at Solitaire "...ought to establish Haddam as America's P.D. James once and for all." Many of her mysteries are set in Connecticut.  Haddam likes to intrigue her readers by evoking “the evil under the nice,” and states that her goal is to “write books that don’t sound as if I’ve just sat down at the computer to spout gibberish before I’ve had my serious caffeine.”  Pick up one of her books at Kent Library to see if it's "gibberish" and come hear the lucid Jane Haddam for yourself.
