Autumn Programs for Children
 

 
 

STORY TIME


Starting Tuesday, October 5 or Wednesday, October 6 children ages 2 1/2 to 5 years of age are invited to Kent Memorial Library for stories, finger-plays, and flannel boards. The program for children ages 2 1/2 to 3 years of age will begin at 10:15 a.m. and will run for 20 minutes. The program for children age 3 to 5 years of age will begin at 10:45 a.m. and will run for 30 minutes. This four-week story time will end October 27.

Pumpkin Painting
and Crafts


Children in grades K - 4
are invited to an hour long Pumpkin Painting and Halloween Craft Program on
Wednesday, October 20 at 3:30 p.m.
Bring a pumpkin, smock and your creativity to Kent Memorial Library for
some Halloween fun.

Registration for

Author & Illustrator
David Costello
Here They Come!


Children's author and illustrator
David Costello
will be at Kent Memorial Library on
Saturday, October 23 at 10:30 a.m.
During this 45 minute family program
Mr. Costello will read his Halloween book Here They Come! and then create a new monster,on the spot,with ideas from the audience. Mr. Costello will also answer questions at the end of the program with the help of a shy hobgoblin from the story.


Registration for this family program begins
Friday, October 8.
 

 

Time for Tots
Toddlers ages 24 to 30 months and a parent or caregiver are invited to join an hour-long program of stories, crafts, songs, activities and playtime.
Time for Tots begins on
Tuesday or Wednesday mornings
November 2nd or 3rd
at 10:15 a.m.
The first half of the program is theme-based activities and the second half is
free play. Time for Tots and will end on November 23 or 24.

Play Group


Parents, care-givers and children
(recommended for ages 0 - 5)are invited to
Kent Memorial Library
on
Friday mornings beginning November 5
any time between
10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
to play with toys and interact with other children and caregivers.

Just drop in!
Registration is not required

Play Group will end on Friday, April 29.
