The Friends of the Library are a group who are dedicated to supporting the Kent Memorial Library.
The Friends sponsor special programs such as book discussion groups and the children's summer
reading program. The Friends also provide the means to purchase new equipment for the library and
new items for circulation. Funds come from donations and membership dues, but the major source is
the annual Friends of the Library book sale in September.

Annual Meeting

In the Spring, the Friends hold an annual meeting that is open to the public. The treasurer's report is presented and new officers are elected. Following this brief business portion, a guest speaker or music group provides entertainment, and refreshments are served. The meeting is held at the Kent Memorial Library. Look for flyers advertising the next meeting!

If you would like more information about the Friends of the Library, or would like to become involved with the Friends, please e-mail the Kent Memorial Library or call at (860) 668-3896.
