Art Scholz Featured Artist at Suffield Library Gallery Again…Kind of.

We hope you had a chance to view the collection of fine paintings presented by the Suffield Arts Council In the Kent Memorial Library during November. This critically acclaimed presentation was created by noted Tolland artist Art Scholz.
Scholz’ work is featured once again in December, this time found in fine art creations by his students What you will find here are works of art in a variety of subjects and styles from several of Art’s students of watercolor. You’ll also see the progress that these artists have made, as many have been studying with Mr. Scholz for many years. Many have gone on to become award winners themselves, such as the Library’s Gallery Coordinator, Fran Milliken, a longtime student. Fran is from West Suffield and is perhaps better known as the 10 term President of the Tobacco Valley Artists Association.
Others in the show at press time include Helen Dewey, from Stafford Springs; Bonnie Massey, Bolton; Donna Hay of Tolland; Willie Hoey of Enfield; Andrea Mackin , East Longmeadow; , Art Scholz is a retired freelance commercial artist and illustrator once based in Manhattan, serving the needs of advertising agencies, publishers, the entertainment industry, and others for more than 40 years. After his retirement, he settled in Tolland, where he lives today, and where his studio may be found. Very active in the local art community, he offers workshops, does critiques, demonstrations, show judging, and conducts classes.The show opens December 2nd and runs through December 30th. A Reception, open to the public, is scheduled for Thursday evening, December 10th, from 6-8 PM.
